Sabrina turns 14 months old! This time last year I was still on maternity leave... hard to believe how quickly time has gone by. Sabrina has brought an immeasurable amount of joy into our lives. These days she dazzles us with her dance moves whenever she hears music. The other night we went to a Lebanese restaurant and they were playing the kind of Arabic music that lends itself nicely to belly dancing and although Sabrina was sitting in a highchair, she was shaking her stuff as soon as she heard the music. It was too cute.
Just tonight she learned how to stab her own food with a fork and guide the fork into her mouth!
She loves fish sticks, blueberries, peas, green beans and Pepper Ridge Farms "goldfish".
Her teachers at school tell me "she is so independent!". She loves going down the slide in the playground area behind daycare. She will climb up by herself, sit down properly and then slide all the way down. I haven't witnessed it, but it sure sounds like something she would do... the fearless one! Apparently only she and her pal Jacob do this (Jacob is 3 months older); the 2 other two toddlers in her class, John Henry and Lucy opt not to go there :). A teacher also told me that she is very precise when they do arts and crafts, wanting her art to be just so...
Last week I brought home her first art work, a little construction paper shaped like a 2-layer cake with glued-on glitter and tissue paper. It is being proudly displayed on the refrigerator :)

Of course she is precise, she has been so advanced since she first came to school and showed all the kids how to do everything with a huge smile on her face. She has always been so social and advanced when it came to learning -- love her, Miss Roi-Ann
