First Thanksgiving

Sabrina's first Thanksgiving was spent at Lizzy and Poppy's house in Maryland where she found herself as th star of the show :) She got passed around to no less than 10 people througout the evening. She didn't one bit of course, since they it meant they were all paying attention to her :) Plus it gave me time to enjoy my thanksgiving meal!

We made the hour and a half drive around 10:30 am without any issues and checked into our hotel. The room was awesome - what a view! We were on the 29th floor and we had a view of the harbor. The crib was already in the room and set-up. After watching some of the Detroit vs. Tennessee NLF game, we packed up and drove to Lizzy and Poppy's house (we officially gave them their grandparently nicknames that day).

Sabrina got to meet a whole new side of the family -- Lizzy's sisters, their spouses and their children who ages ranged from 4 to 18.

I personally enjoyed the conversations around labor and delivery. Now that I've experienced it myself, I can actually contribute and throw my experiences, stats etc, into the conversation. Gene was thrilled because they had the Dallas Cowboy game on in the living room and in the rec room so he didn't have to miss a minute of the action :) Plus, he got one of the drumsticks (from a 29-lb turkey) all to himself!
