38 week appointment

Gene was able to accompany me for this week's doctor's appointment, which was really cool.

My stats:

• Blood Pressure: 118/78


• Pulse: 95


• Weight: keep dreaming!

Sabrina's stats:

• Heart rate in the 140's (anywhere from 110 to 150 is normal)

Our stats:

• 1 cm dilated (no change)


• 80% effaced


• -3 station "but close to a -2" (I'll take that!)

Everything is looking good medically so now we're in that period of the waiting game. Will it be the water breaking that sends us to the hospital? Maybe contractions? Or perhaps the induction at Week 41 (the latest they would let the pregnancy go)? Who knows! Also, there's a full moon on Friday and supposedly hospitals see a significantly higher number of women in labor on full moon days. Hmmm...

Our bags are packed and already in my SUV, plus we've been carpooling to work everyday for the past couple of weeks so we are ready in case my water breaks while I'm at work, etc. The really nice thing is that our offices are only 1 block apart -- how convenient!
